Production of airlaid

Airlaid is produced from cellulose and binders. It is not processed in water as is usual in the manufacture of paper, but dry in a so-called compressed air process. Hence the term "Airlaid".
Airlaid is characterized by the following properties: It is very lint-free, tear-resistant and extremely absorbent. Furthermore, Airlaid is kind to the skin and pleasantly soft. Airlaid napkins are therefore only 1-layer, but feel much higher quality than a 3-layer napkin made of paper.
